Lee Roy Selmon blends the benefits of a football scholarship within his family and community service. First family, he's the youngest of the nine children born to Lucious and Jessie Selmon raised on a farm in Eufala, Oklahoma. In second football, he was the third brother who played for Oklahoma. All three became All-America. Lucious Jr. Dewey, Lee Roy, and Lucious Jr. Dewey started the 1973 season. Lee Roy was named the most offensive lineman in the United States by Outland as well as Lombardi Awards. The three years he was an offensive lineman, Oklahoma finished 32-1-1 and won two national championships. As a National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon received an award for his third season in 1975. Selmon was awarded a degree from Education. Fourth service In college Lee Roy devoted ten hours every week for volunteer activities. In Tampa, he played for the Buccaneers for nine seasons before becoming an all-pro. Additionally, he started his career in the field of business. The first job he had was a Account Relations Officer with First Florida Bank, Tampa. He was a member previously for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. There's no surprise that The Junior Chamber of Commerce designated Lee Roy as among the most prominent young men in the country. When he was a student Lee Roy was 6-2 and weighs a little over 256 lbs. He coached his university team in 1975. In 1993, he was a part of his current position at University of South Florida as an associate director of athletics. In 1993, the College Football Hall of Fame named his on the 28th of October, the year 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame In 1995. In 1989 the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation presented the Distinguished American Award, to Mr. Lucious Selmon and his wife. Henry Bellmon is the Oklahoma governor that made the award.
