The series continued on until September 2008, in which the Morton family left Coronation Street. Barden debuted in 2007 with the comedy-drama Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution. In 2009, Barden played in the role of Pea in the stage production Jerusalem which was staged at the Royal Court Theatre in London prior to being moved onto the Apollo Theatre in the West End.
