Drake and Bad Bunny worked together on MIA (2018) as did Madonna and Maluma. Madonna joined forces with Maluma on Medellin, 2019 In 2020, several Reggaeton artists were complaining about the trend of the genre towards the mainstream. Yet, a young generation, such as Rauw Alejandro was keen to maintain the development. He often used electronic dance, as well as other styles.
