April Ross
April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among the few female beach volleyball players that have achieved this feat. In Tokyo over the next several days, she'll be aiming to claim her third Olympic medal along with first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross also hopes to get her first Olympic medal. At 39, this could be her last chance to win the Olympic gold. She's certain that the top prizes can be achieved. Ross through NBC Boston, said that If the team is performing consistently or well it could be able to win gold. In addition, I'll try the chance to have chance. Ross was born in California, Costa Mesa in the year 1982. Her parents and her sister were residents there. Her athletic career began at Newport Harbor High School where she played in a variety of sports. In her time as a college athlete she was also a participant in indoor volleyball and track. But she clearly was a cut above the rest when it came to the second sport. In her own biography her high school days, she was a volleyball player as an outside setter (middle blocker) as well as a setting (outside blocker). Her achievements were rewarded in 1999 when she was named Gatorade's Circle of Champions National players of the year. Also, she won the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Year trophy for volleyball. Even though Ross and Klineman have been doing their thing since the year 2017, Klineman was already an established participant on the beaches even before the pair formed. The fact is, she's had numerous big wins as well as one of her partners was a renowned volleyball player. The pair teamed along with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and was also Klineman's coach. Together together with Kessy, Ross won a World Title in 2009, while racing internationally. In 2012, the duo won silver at London's Olympic Games. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the trio to beat out for gold. Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor when she announced her retirement. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross began her collegiate professional career playing for the Trojans of USC after her high school days. It was a long time before Ross went to the sand and turned pro. It was a successful run for Ross at the university. Her freshman year in 2000 was when she won the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of the Year awards and be an All-American. In addition, she helped her Trojans get to the Final Four. Her personal tragedy was a crushing loss in her sophomore season and yet she went on to repeat her place as an All-American. In her last two years of participation in the Trojans program, she coached them to a national title every year. For her part Ross established her status in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the best female volleyball players at colleges across the United States. Ross took a course in international relations at USC. Margie Ross didn't get to see Ross reach beach volleyball's highest level. Ross's mother passed away from breast cancer while she was in her sophomore year at USC. She is devoted to her parents who passed away. Margie has been an inspiration throughout her life, as well as on the beach.
