Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. Her modeling career started in Italy, where she was raised and was born in California. Her acting career started in 1996 when she starred in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It was a long road to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller character. It was very difficult for her to make the transition between modeling and acting because the models were never believed to be actors, and they were usually assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. However, Amy refused to give up and transitioned to larger roles, beginning with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her play some more notable parts. Amy became famous for her efforts throughout the previous 10 years. She then worked on many of the greatest movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played an enduring character.
