Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modelling career in Italy. In 1996 she debuted as a actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It was a struggle to land the role she wanted in Starship Troopers. At first, it was difficult for Amy switching from modeling to acting. This is because most models aren't good actors. They are typically assigned small and insignificant roles. Amy didn't give up, and ultimately she was offered bigger roles in films Varsity Blues and The 70s. After a while Amy stepped into bigger roles. She starred in the love story Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition for her efforts over the past 10 years. Amy was later a star in major film projects including the Crank Series with Jason Statham, and Shameless.
